Again, I feel the gentle nudge of the Holy Spirit making straight my paths.
How often do I spend time working on the appearance of a healthy Christian home, verses true deep relationship with Christ? I am so ashamed that my daily quiet times with Christ often get crowded out with housework, exercise, children, and --yes--blogging.
We spent a good part of Friday and Saturday (actually only about 4 hours total) trying to find a cute dress for Sarah that would keep her warm in this crazy weather. On Easter Sunday, we got dressed to go. Sarah and John were adorable ....
Then, the floodgates were opened: Sarah decided to ooze green from her nose. It was so obnoxious...and she had a fever...that we thought it would be best if we kept her home. Good thing, because she got sick later...
Raising Five had a similar experience...

So true! It is easy for my priorities to get so messed up! Nothing like sick kids to get them back in line, huh?
I hope she's feeling better!
Mu husband saw the picture of your boat and is curious about where you live. Is it a channel boat?
Hi Rebeca!
It could be considered a canal boat. A boatbuilder in Norfolk,
VA started building it for his family. It was completed in 1926. We have had it for about 8 years. She draws only 3.5 feet. She can handle the ocean, but we have not ventured there yet (thankfully so, since I am a boater by marriage only!)
My husband could probably answer more questions if yours had any more! My husband is a boatbuilder, too.
...that is..."started building it for his family in 1913".
