Our little friend came a knockin'...

We have had 2 blue herons hanging around our boat this summer! And, this morning, one of them sat on the small boat we have tied up parallel to ours, and pecked at our window!
The above picture was taken on the other side of the boat a few weeks ago. The kids and I were too freaked out to move... The bird looked quite determined to get inside...

When the heat rises...

O.K. At 10 p.m., it is 97 degrees! Wow!

The children's energy levels actually increased with each degree today! We even went for several Dusty walks...Why didn't that tire them out in this heat?

While making dinner, I risked letting Sarah play in our "family room" by herself. I found her sitting inside her play kitchen sink.. She said that she was taking a bath...

While I was drying Sarah off after her real bath, John runs by in the buff and toots several times! Honestly, where does this come from? Certainly, Bruce and I haven't demonstrated that behavior! We don't even give special attention to toots, purposely trying to avoid the above mentioned behavior! Sorry if that was too much information!
