One of the many things John has taught his little sister is saying "hi!" to perfect strangers. All day today, Sarah said "hi!" to everyone she saw. After saying "hi!" twice, she will say "bye!" twice, also. John fills in the gaps by telling everyone our itinerary for the day.
There are pros and cons for being a 'talker'. Although I never got in trouble in school for being talkative, I am afraid that now, sometimes I just cannot stop talking! I don't even have anything exciting to talk about!
This might sound strange, but my prayer request for BSF this week was to have God reveal to me where I need improvement in my friendships. It was loud and clear: I talk too much and listen too little!
My friends are such troopers for putting up with me!
So, I guess I need to properly assign the blame, as well. I suppose John learned how to be a talker by watching and hearing his mama!

Oh goodness, I am the same way Kimberly. I talk way too much and listen too little.
And it's not because I don't care about them; it's just that I get so excited about whatever I'm reading/learning/etc., that that's what I end up talking about.
Proverbs had a lot to say about idle words, many words, etc... I need to be more cautious and judicious in my speech. (Case in point: what a long comment just to say, "I agree & I need to join you in learning this lesson!")
hee hee! ;)
Kimberly, I think you're a great listener!! And you are a great friend, so please don't be discouraged. I have been thinking a lot about you lately, and it's fun to read your blog and get updated on your little rascals. I can't wait until we're back in town (June 1!) so that we can get together. :)
PS - Kenny is a constant talker, too. Hm... can you tell he spends all day with ME?
